The Story

Five years ago, I signed up to Deliveroo just one month after my 18th birthday.

Like thousands of riders across London, I wasn't looking to build a company. I was simply looking for a way to earn a living.

Over the years, I learnt something only delivery riders truly understand…

Your bike isn't just a bike. It's your livelihood.

Every puncture, worn brake pad, missed service and unexpected repair comes directly out of your pocket. How well you look after your bike often determines how well it looks after you.

Earlier this year, I went back through my bank statements. Over just four months, I'd spent more than £800 renting a bike.

£800… and at the end of it, I owned absolutely nothing.

But even when I did own my e-bike, it was still costing me £100+ monthly in maintenance — until it got stolen. At the same time, my hourly earnings had fallen to around £5 an hour, while I was still paying £16 every day just to rent the bike I needed to work.

For six weeks, I worked unsociable hours just to survive. That's when I realised…

The system itself was broken.

So I asked myself one question:

What if a company genuinely put riders first?

Not investors. Not shareholders. Riders.

That's why I started ForgeBike. Not because I wanted another bike company, but because I believe the industry can be better.

I want every rider who joins ForgeBike to think:

“These people genuinely want what's best for me.”

Our mission is simple: help riders build ownership, reduce unnecessary costs, improve work-life balance and keep more of what they earn.

This isn't just about bikes. It's about building a better future for delivery riders.

Built for riders. Not against them.

Ride Today. Own Tomorrow.
